Position Overview:

We are hiring Snow Shovel Laborers for the upcoming snow season. In this role, you will be responsible for manually removing snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, stairs, and entrances at residential and commercial properties. This is an on-call, seasonal position that requires quick response to snowfall events, often during early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shovel snow from sidewalks, walkways, stairs, entrances, and other pedestrian areas

• Spread salt, sand, or ice melt to prevent slippery surfaces

• Operate small snow removal tools or equipment such as shovels, ice scrapers, and pushers

• Assist snow plow and machine operators with clearing areas by hand where machines cannot reach

• Respond promptly to snow events and arrive at designated job sites when called in

• Work safely in cold, icy, and potentially hazardous weather conditions

• Maintain communication with crew leaders and follow instructions on each job

• Help maintain tools and keep equipment organized and in good condition

 

Qualifications:

• No previous experience required—training will be provided

• Must be reliable and able to respond quickly when snow events occur

• Ability to work outdoors in cold, snowy, and icy conditions for extended periods

• Strong physical fitness—able to lift 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive motion

• Dependable transportation to job sites or crew meeting location

• Ability to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

• A strong work ethic and willingness to work in tough weather conditions

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience and availability)

• Shifts typically range from 6 to 12 hours depending on snowfall
